How do I turn my syllabus into a calendar?
Go to the syllabus tool, upload your syllabus (PDF, Word, photo, or pasted text), and review what we extracted — every assignment, exam, and reading with its due date. Then export to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or download an .ics file. Your first syllabus is free, no account or card needed.
What file types can I upload?
PDF, Word (.docx), photos of a printed syllabus, and plain text (.txt) all work; PDF gives the cleanest parse. If the schedule lives only inside your school's LMS, copy the text and paste it, or subscribe to the LMS calendar feed from your dashboard instead.
The parse missed dates or got something wrong. What do I do?
You always get a review step before anything lands on your calendar — edit or delete any item there in one click. Some syllabi only say things like “Week 5” with no concrete date; we place those as best we can, so give them a second look. If a syllabus parses badly, email it to hello@myclassmaite.com — a real person reads those, and problem syllabi are how the parser gets better.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes, Classmaite is on the App Store. It's the same account as the website: sign in with the email or Apple ID you already use and your classes are already there. The app adds phone notifications for reminders. On Android, the website works in your phone's browser.
Can Classmaite pull my syllabus from Canvas?
Yes, with Canvas auto-sync (beta, Pro). Connect Canvas from your dashboard with a Canvas access token and Classmaite reads each course's syllabus for you: the Syllabus page, or the syllabus PDF or Word file your professor uploaded. You still review everything before it reaches your calendar. Some schools turn off student access tokens; if yours does, upload the syllabus or use the Canvas calendar feed instead.

How do I get my assignments into Google Calendar or Apple Calendar?
After the review step, use Add to Google Calendar for a direct sync, or download the .ics file and open it — Apple Calendar, Outlook, and every other calendar app imports .ics. Events already exported are yours: they stay on your calendar whatever happens to your plan.
How do reminders reach me?
Two ways, and neither is email from us. In the iOS app, reminders arrive as phone notifications on the schedule you pick in Settings, plus a heads-up before class. On the web, add your deadlines to Google Calendar and Google alerts you before each one.
How do I turn reminders off?
Settings → Reminders, one toggle, for phone notifications. Google Calendar alerts are set per event in Google Calendar. Billing notices — like the email before a free trial converts to paid — still send: we will always tell you before money moves.
Billing & plans
How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings → Cancel subscription. One click takes you straight to the confirmation — no phone call, no email required, nothing to sit through first. Cancelling stops all future charges, and you keep Pro through any time you already paid for. If you subscribed inside the iPhone app, Apple bills you instead: cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
When am I charged, and how much?
The Pro trial runs 24 hours and requires a card, but you are not charged when it starts. When the 24 hours are up we charge $9, then $9 every month until you cancel. Cancel inside the 24 hours and you are never charged anything. We email you as soon as the trial starts with the exact date of that first charge, and Settings always shows your next charge date and amount. Full details on the pricing page.
Can I get a refund?
If a charge was our mistake — a billing error, or something you didn't agree to — email hello@myclassmaite.com and we'll refund it. When you cancel partway through a period you keep Pro until the period ends; we don't prorate that remainder.
Your account
I forgot my password.
Use the password reset page and we'll email you a link.
How do I delete my account?
Email hello@myclassmaite.com from your account address and we complete deletion within 30 days. One important thing: deleting your account is not the same as cancelling a subscription — cancel first in Settings so billing stops immediately.
What happens to my data?
Your syllabi, courses, and events are yours. We don't sell your data and we don't use your syllabi to advertise to you. The privacy policy has the specifics.
Replying to any email Classmaite has sent you also reaches support. If you're reporting a bad parse, attach the syllabus PDF — that's what lets us fix it.
